The goal is simple:
Improve human health worldwide, starting at home.
Our Mission:
Engineer more accessible vaccines and therapeutics through novel technology.
It’s time to fundamentally rethink how pharmaceuticals are introduced to the human body, and take bold steps towards solving equitable access around the world.
At Vaxess, we are pushing past conventional approaches. We bring together rigorous science from multiple fields—integrating chemistry, biology, immunology, and mechanical and biomedical engineering in emerging ways to develop new solutions.
MIMIX™ therapies are engineered to be needle-free, virtually pain-free, and easy-to-use, resembling an adhesive bandage.
Setting MIMIX™ apart from other intradermal patch therapies is our pioneering utilization of the unique qualities of silk proteins, originally conceived at MIT and Tufts University. We pair the unique qualities of silk proteins with breakthrough immune-activating biology, to create highly adaptive silk biomaterials that interact with the body in remarkable ways. Once applied to the skin, our unique microneedle array dissolves into the body, delivering a bioactive payload over time. This combination is unlike any other existing technology and is designed to support the broadest possible range of pharmaceuticals and applications.
Seeking to dismantle barriers to vaccination and therapeutics use, we work to overcome the limitations of conventional needle administration to and create a vastly improved user experience. That's why we design MIMIX™ therapies to be needle-free, virtually pain-free, and easy-to-use, resembling an adhesive bandage.
MIMIX™ therapies are shelf stable, so they can be shipped via simplified, lower-cost supply chains, and applied anywhere, including low-resource settings. And lines for manufacturing to scale are underway.
Sound audacious? It is. We’ve got the research to back it up. Join us as we improve human health worldwide by making vaccines and therapeutics radically more effective and accessible.
